I was in Auburn Hills for a work trip on 10/21/24 and I always look up different places to eat before traveling. Being from Florida I can get great seafood at any time but the reviews for the steak caught my attention. I'll get back to that. This place has a great ambience, I sat at the bar and if I'm not mistaken the bartenders name was Katlin. She was amazing, I notice her interaction with an elderly customer and the way she treated that customer was awesome. They also had the Monday night football game on which was an added plus. Now back to my food. I've had some really good clam chowder but this was by far the best I've ever had. My main entree was the NY Strip, cooked medium rare. It was perfect. I didn't need any sauce. I wasn't able to finish but the left over went perfect with the breakfast at my hotel. If I come back. This will be my first stop and I will need a bucket of that clam chowder.

Great lobster and Stone Crab. Waitresses have been providing Frear service for years.

Great food, great service, we love O'Brien's!! This is an "always good" restaurant!!!

Omg first time here for my birthday dinner it was awesome. and the food was delicious the service was amazing and the ambiance was great also we will be back

We have been long time fans of O'Brien's Crabhouse! The food is simply outstanding! We have never been disappointed. Our favorite dishes include: Seafood chowder and be sure to get the soups mixed! It's fabulous. The grouper piccata is phenomenal! Every bite is full of flavor and it's always fresh!! The artichoke dip is to die for!!! The shrimp scampi angel hair pasta is my personal favorite!! We love ordering the personal shot glass sundae! The service: Friendly, attentive, authentic kindness are the first adjectives I think of! Ambiance is small and intimate with roomy booth space! You must reserve a table and we recommend making your reservation around 4:30! Trust me the experience will be worth it arriving earlier! Everything is made from scratch and by the time you have your app, salad (oh the Caesar is so good) dinner and dessert it will make the timing perfect! We love O'Brien's!

We visited O'Brien's on a Friday night and deliberately arrived early at around 445pm. The dinner crowd was just starting to arrive. We were pleasantly surprised by the feel and look of the restaurant and were greeted immediately. The restaurant had a very comfortable upscale neighborhood vibe with a nautical look to it. We found it to be very clean despite all of the decorations. (It always seems that establishments that are heavily decorated or ornate have a few cobwebs hanging somewhere. . .) The bar was well stocked and looked well organized. The only downside is that it is located in a strip mall and not a stand-alone building which made it a little difficult to find. We were seated quickly and met by our server, Katie. She was very attentive, pleasant, and helpful as this was the first time we'd been there. Menu items were extensive and prices ranged from moderate to expensive - although not out of line for quality seafood. Katie brought our drinks quickly and took our order after explaining the menu offerings and recommending specific dishes and specials. Based on Katie's recommendations we ordered the Seafood Sauté with a dinner salad. The salad was delivered along with a bread tray and was a good size and fresh. The Seafood Sauté was interesting and tasty although I prefer scallops to have a sear. My girlfriend ordered a slice of Key Lime Pie which was very good! (I was only allowed one bite!!) Unfortunately, the pie wasn't around long enough for me to snap a picture! (That's my story and I'm sticking to it!) Throughout dinner we were served by a number of staff members that we found very pleasant and helpful. We enjoyed our experience and plan to return for more! Based on our first impression, we give O'Brien's a solid 5 recommendation! If you're in the mood for good seafood, you might want to give them a try!

Stopped into O'Briens while in town for business...actually heard two their gentlemen say we are back... place was so good only in town for two days... Bartender super friendly Bread outstanding Shrimp cocktail was delicious Next time in Auburn Hills will be back!!

Wow, what a gem! Few places have such old school ambiance anymore. My wife and I stumbled onto O'Brien's by accident after a round of Top Golf and can't wait to go back! The vibe is incredibly charming and inviting, but the food will bring you back. A fresh baked, hot loaf of bread to start and it was delicious. The shrimp cocktail was incredible. My wife ordered the seafood fettuccine and raved about it. I had the snow crab legs and they were everything crab legs should be. We shared a brownie with ice cream for dessert and it was heavenly. My only complaint was that this place isn't closer to home. Even our server, Katie, was delightful and offered great advice. I highly recommend O'Brien's and my wife and I will be returning whenever we are in the area.

My husband suggested this place. It totally works because I'm a pescatarian. There is plenty of parking outside and we came on a Saturday night. We didn't have a reservation and were seated right away. It wasn't really packed inside and probably because it was near closing time. It's a cute restaurant with a sea them. They have a full bar and the menu has plenty to choose from. We order appetizers first. My husband ordered the coconut shrimp. My sister-in-law had the fried green tomatoes, and I had the soft shell crab. Everything was delicious. I tried my sister-in-law's fried green tomatoes and they were delicious. For our main meals I selected the fettuccine alfredo that had seafood. There was shrimp in there and I believe crawfish tails. I may have missed the other ingredients but it was delicious and a nice size portion. My sister-in-law ordered the stuffed shrimp. My husband ordered the fried shrimp with fries. My husband and his sister both had the coleslaw. My sister-in-law said it was some of the best coleslaw. My meal came with a soup or salad. I selected a tomato based soup that had crab. I really didn't care for it. All in all a wonderful experience and Maddie was our server and she went over and beyond. Thank you I hope to see you soon.
